It found us in the middle of one of the hardest ones.
Michael ( my husband) had just lost his job, ( our only source of income at the time) and we were our youngest was diagnosed with epilepsy, and I was navigating an auto immune diagnosis on my own.
Everything felt uncertain. Like we couldnt quite catch our breath.
But in the middle of it, I kept reaching for my camera.
I'd look back through the photos I had taken and see something. I hadnt fully noticed in the moment...joy,connection. Us still showing up for eachother in the middle of the chaos.
And that is when it clicked.

I love love. I love raising my boys. I love getting to witness people fully step into one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
There is something about photographs that lets you hold onto those moments in a way nothing else can. That is what I am always chasing.
Once upon a time, I thought I would a Kindergarten teacher ( even went to college for it) but deep down, I think I always knew I'd end up here.
Also... we have officially moved past my Justin Timberlake phase...which has freed up a lot of space in my heart for your memories.

He is in charge of everything you don't see...and somehow everything you need, right when you need it.
While Whitney is capturing the big emotional moments, Michael is watching for the in between ones, the small interactions that end up meaning the most.
He is our calm in the chaos, our behind the scenes probelm solver, and the reason your day flows the way it should.
Also...yes he is the mastermind behind those cinematic drone shots.
And the unofficial (but undefeated) champion of making sure everyone has a drink in hand and is exactly where they need to be.
